The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This month falls within the liturgical season of Ordinary Time, which is represented by the liturgical color green. This symbol of hope is the color of the sprouting seed and arouses in the faithful the hope of reaping the eternal harvest of heaven, especially the hope of a glorious resurrection.
The Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a formal Catholic Church prayer dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is one of six approved litanies for public use. In 1899, Pope Leo XIII approved the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for public use. The last portion of the liturgical year represents the time of our pilgrimage to heaven, during which we hope for reward.
In June, we will pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus after the 08:30 AM Mass.
