Ethnic Mass and Celebration

Our annual ethnic Mass and nationality pot luck Celebration will be combined with our Parish Picnic this year. It will takes place the 4th Sunday of Lent, April 3, 2011. The celebration will begin at the 11:30 AM Mass with the procession of flags. People can dress in their native costumes and will process in behind their country’s flag.

There is a list in the back of the Church for each nationality to sign up to carry their nation’s flag in the entrance procession. We have purchased flags of 53 different countries and are in process of putting them on the poles. You do not have to bring your own flag. The flag bearer sign up is first come, first served, so do not delay.

We are in need of volunteers again this year to translate a petition from English into their native language and pray it at the time of the Intercessions during this Mass. Please see or call Sister Yvonne at 268-3441 if you are willing to help.

We invite you to bring a ethnic dish or a picnic food item. The Parish will provide Polish and Kilbosa Sausage and hotdogs. We will have the dunking booth (Father Chris and Father Eugene will be the main dunking attactions), music and games.
